Shannen Auffarth

Dr. Shannen Auffarth grew up in Baltimore, MD, where her passion for animals began. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Maryland, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.

Her professional interests include surgery, behavior, and preventive medicine.

Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering, spending time with her dog, Willie, and visiting the National Aquarium, along with the beach, traveling with her fiancé, and spending time with family and friends.
